Reprimand from the Spanish media, booing from the Santiago Bernabeu stands, what could be next? Well, the Welshman is banned from the golf course while Euro 2020 will be on.Advertisement Image Courtesy: Getty/PANicknamed ‘The Golfer’ by Real Madrid teammate Thibaut Courtois, Bale is a well known lover of the sport, and is often reportedly seen at golf courses rather than the training grounds in weekends. So much in fact, the Welsh international showed it to the world that he prefers it over the La Liga giants. However, the biggest slack has come from none other than his gaffer compatriot Ryan Giggs.Advertisement The Welsh national team coach has put a strict regulation over the 30 year old to stay away from golf courses during next year UEFA Euro tournament, as not to lose lose focus away from football. However, the other two Welshmen who frequent the courses along with Bale are Aaron Ramsey and Wayne Hennessey, but Giggs has yet to made any remarks on their habit of swinging the club over kicking the ball.Advertisement A 2-0 home victory over Hungary put Wales through the qualifiers and into the Group A of Euro 2020 alongside Italy, Switzerland, and Turkey. A dark bay colt by Natural Selection out of Millenium Princess, bred by the Y.S. (1955) Limited, FUTURE KING chalked up his second win from five starts, and is almost certain to be crowned Champion Two-Year-Old. “He has really come on nicely since finishing second to Sorrentino’s Star in the Pick-3 Super Challenge, and Halledeen rode him perfectly to my instructions,” said DaCosta. “‘I had two strong contenders in the race, but Dreamliner apparently found a mile taxing, and it was left to Future King to wear them down in deep stretch. He has now established himself as the winter book favourite for the classics in 2016. He has class, and I have high hopes for him,” said DaCosta, who duly won his 11th consecutive trainers’ championship. PERFECT NEIGHBOUR, installed a 4-5 favourite with Orlando Foster aboard, outduelled arch-rival TYPEWRITER (Nelson up) leaving the half mile to win the Harry Jackson by two lengths from the much-improved LONG RUNNING TRAIN (5-2), but had to survive an objection from the rider of LONG RUNNING TRAIN for crossing the three-year-old filly a furlong out. On a tough day for form, players who saw the Pick-9 consolation paid out on six of nine, PERFECT NEIGHBOUR was one of four marginal favourites to score on the 11-race programme, which attracted a bumper holiday crowd. Second win FUTURE KING, running at odds of 5-1 with Robert Halledeen riding for trainer Wayne DaCosta, got up in the nick of time to beat NUCLEAR AFFAIR (5-1) by a neck in the 104th running of the Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes over a mile at Caymanas Park yesterday, the third and final race in the $11.5 million Supreme Ventures Triple Crown Series for native bred two-year-olds. For DaCosta, it was a day he will long remember, having saddled the island’s top distance horse PERFECT NEIGHBOUR as well to win the traditional Boxing Day supporting feature for the Harry Jackson Memorial Cup over 2400 metres for the second year in a row for owners Jeffrey Mordecai and Alfred Lee. DaCosta easily won his 15th trainers’ championship to become Jamaica’s leading all-time trainer with 15 titles, finally surpassing Hall of Famer Philip Feanny with 14. Significantly, FUTURE KING and PERFECT NEIGHBOUR are not only trained and owned by the same connections, but are groomed by the veteran Alphanso Edwards. The cream of the crop contested the SVL Jamaica Two-Year-Old stakes and punters made the recent Pick-3 Super Challenge winner SORRENTINO’S STAR, with outgoing champion jockey Dane Nelson riding for Feanny, a strong favourite at 8-5 in a 15-horse field. But after racing in touch approaching the home turn SORRENTINO’S STAR flattened out to finish fifth. FUTURE KING, meanwhile was held off the early pace in midfield as ZUGULU (7-1) led for the first half mile before giving way to the DaCosta-trained DREAMLINER (5-1) under four-time champion jockey Omar Walker. But DREAMLINER came under pressure from several horses a furlong out. NUCLEAR AFFAIR (Aaron Chatrie) pointed on the rails but he was nabbed by the fast-finishing FUTURE KING within shades of the wire.

NBC, CBS, ABC: Watch out, Google has you in its sights. If the company has its way, viewers looking to follow the U.S. elections won’t tune in to network and cable news outlets – they’ll log on to YouTube. To achieve this, the company launched the YouTube Election Hub, a multi-sourced video channel designed to aggregate coverage and commentary from across media outlets old and new. Alongside clips from the likes of ABC News, Al Jazeera, Wall Street Journal and BuzzFeed is a curated feed of videos from other sources. YouTube will also be streaming debates and other important election-related events live from this landing page. In 2008, Net-centric viewers could stream the presidential debates from a laptop hooked up to one’s TV, but not in a particularly elegant fashion. This year, debates and other key events will all be housed on YouTube’s new politics channel, which can be accessed from the browser, AirPlayed to an Apple TV or viewed on any of the native YouTube apps for Boxee, Apple TV or Roku. For cord-cutting Americans who just jumped through hoops to watch the Summer Olympics, the election season should be relatively painless. But Google’s plan promises to be much more than that: It may be a glimpse of the post-television future. Funneling everything onto one page potentially will give viewers a 360-degree view of November’s elections, candidates and issues. By collecting a range of sources and perspectives in a single hub on a very popular site, YouTube will break down the institutional and ideological barriers have have historically existed between outlets. It sounds Quixotic, but if anyone can beat the networks at their own game, it’s the Google/YouTube colossus. By virtue of its size and relationships with content owners, YouTube stands uniquely positioned to make a major impact. Television is still very much dominant, to be sure. But YouTube has been aggressively repositioning itself to compete more directly with traditional TV, and it has already eclipsed radio as a source of free music among U.S. teens. Depending on how viewers react, the elections may end up being a referendum not only on the state of union, but on the future of television. In this month’s MFLN Military Caregiving webinar, the topic at hand was “Respite,” with an emphasis in understanding the value of respite care for family caregivers. As the month of June draws to a close, let’s recap some of the items and key takeaways you can use in your work with clientele from ‘The Value of Respite for Family Caregivers’ training.Respite care is a term used by professionals who work with family caregivers on finding ways to care for themselves. This month’s webinar presenter and caregiver consultant, Mary Brintnall-Peterson, Ph.D. defined respite in her training as essentially “having ME time.” No matter if we are professionals or family caregivers, we can all use a little “me time.” The question is, “Do we really understand the importance of caring for ourselves and alternative care solutions?”If we look back at Dr. Brintnall-Peterson’s presentation, she identified potential benefits to using respite such as, reduce caregiver stress, improve health and well-being, minimize precursors to abuse and neglect, and strengthen marriages and family stability. She also discussed the two types of respite care: (1) home-based respite and (2) out-of-home respite. If we break down the two types of respite care further, examples include:Home-based respite: professional services; sitter companion services; family and friendsOut-of-home respite: Assisted living facilities; residential facilities; camps; retreats, hospital type programsThe June caregiver training also increased awareness of available respite resources for both caregivers of wounded service members and those caring for individuals with special needs. What was so unique about this particular professional development webinar was that the presenter engaged participants with thought-provoking questions and scenarios on how they would respond to their particular clientele using the information they learned in the training. Dr. Brintnall-Peterson left participants with six key takeways to use when reflecting on their caregiver clientele and caseload. Review the image below and think about your own caregiver clientele and how these tips can be helpful as you work through your cases. If you missed this month’s caregiving webinar, The Value of Respite for Family Caregivers, there is still time to watch the recording and receive continuing education credit or a certificate of completion. This MFLN-Military Caregiving concentration blog post was published on June 26, 2015.
The Himachal Pradesh Assembly passed a Bill on Friday against conversion by force, inducement or through marriages solemnised for the “sole purpose” of adopting a new religion. The Opposition supported the Himachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Bill, 2019, which was passed unanimously with a voice vote. Replying to the discussion, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said a new stringent legislation was required as “forced conversion”, especially in Rampur and Kinnaur, was “on the rise.”The Bill seeks to repeal the Himachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act, 2006, which is on similar lines. The new Bill proposes stringent punishments — up to seven years in jail compared to the three years under the existing law.The Bill prohibits conversion by misrepresentation, force, undue influence, coercion, inducement, marriage or any fraudulent means. Any marriage for the sole purpose of conversion will also be declared null and void under Section 5 of the Bill. While participating in the discussion on the Bill, Congress legislators Asha Kumari, Sukhvinder Sukhu, Jagat Singh Negi and lone CPI(M) MLA Rakesh Singha sought changes in some clauses. Answering Mr. Sukhu’s suggestion, Mr. Thakur said the 13-year old act was not so effective. The government decided to bring a new legislation instead of amending the already-existing Act as it has only eight sections and it would have not better to add about 10 more sections to it, the chief minister said.As per the Bill, anyone seeking to convert will need to give a month’s notice to the district magistrate, stating that the person is converting on his/her own. The provision figured in the 2006 law as well and was challenged in court. The priest who performs conversion ceremony will also give a month’s notice in advance. Those reconverting to their “parent religion” are exempted from this provision. Replying to Mr. Negi’s suggestion, the chief minister said everyone was worried about untouchability, but provisions in the Constitution against untouchability were already there. According to the new Bill, if Dalits, women or minors were made to convert, the jail term will be between two-seven years. Law Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Rakesh Pathania and Rakesh Jamwal from the treasury bench also participated in the discussion. Section 10 of the Bill states that no person or organisation violating the provisions will be allowed to accept any donation or contribution of any kind from within or outside the country. The Bill will become an Act after its notification following assent by the Governor.

Yearly loss also widened to reach USD 72.4 million for 2018, compared to a loss of USD 44.7 million reported in 2017.Operating revenue for the quarter increased to USD 154.3 million from USD 122 million in the same three-month period in 2017.The company’s Time Charter Equivalent income increased to USD 84.6 million in the fourth quarter of 2018, compared to USD 79.3 million reported in the same period a year earlier, mainly attributable to higher LPG spot rates.TCE income for the full year was lower in 2018 at USD 300.9 million, against USD 335.4 million seen in 2017.“With strengthening fundamentals, we expect the freight market to continue to improve going forward. We remain cautiously optimistic for the full year due to sustained U.S. LPG production growth and incremental export volumes being added from other key loading areas such as Australia and Canada,” according to BW LPG.“However, increased demand for VLGC’s from growing U.S. exports will in part be offset by a high level of newbuild deliveries. We maintain our neutral view on Middle Eastern VLGC exports as incremental regional growth is expected to compensate the effects from the re-imposed sanctions on Iran.”
Free-agent forward Matt Barnes, who played the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, was arrested late Monday night on an outstanding misdemeanor traffic warrant and for allegedly threatening a police officer.Barnes, a nine-year NBA veteran, was apprehended “as he was walking on a busy thoroughfare in the city about 20 miles southwest of downtown Los Angeles,” according to the Associated Press.Manhattan Beach police Lt. Steve Tobias said Barnes was uncooperative when he was stopped by police — and that Barnes was going to be booked for allegedly threatening the officer, which is a felony.Authorities said the warrant was for driving on a suspended license.According to City News Service, Barnes was arrested by an officer who was aware that the 32-year-old forward had an outstanding warrant for a misdemeanor traffic offense. According to NBC Los Angeles, Barnes had not paid a $26,000 warrant. He paid that, plus the remaining $25,000 in bail, and was released from the Manhattan Beach Police Department’s jail just before midnight Pacific time.In September 2010, two months after the Lakers signed him to a two-year, $3.67 million deal, Barnes was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence. Then-fiancee Gloria Govan disputed the booking at the time, and Barnes ultimately was not charged in connection with that incident. The Los Angles Times reported earlier this month that the Lakers are not expected to re-sign Barnes, preferring instead to go with 23-year-old forward Devin Ebanks. Barnes did not provide the Lakers with the consistent energy and defensive effort it expected from him.He had a chance to solidify his role with the team when Metta World Peace was out serving a lengthy suspension. But Barnes got in foul trouble and was anemic on offense. He is probably among the top 20 remaining free agents, but NBA team had shown much interest in procuring the services of the veteran swingman, who has also played with the Sacramento Kings, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors, Phoenix Suns and Orlando Magic. Surely this latest arrest will not be looked at favorably to teams.
